Our first big event...
Well, it's here!
We are giving away hot chocolate downtown on Saturday, Feb 11 from 8-3. The plans have been made. The signs are designed. The volunteers have signed up. The water is waiting to be boiled and the hot chocolate mix can't wait to get into the cup!
This will be our first big impact event. The hot chocolate will be our way of showing them that God loves them. After all, God loves people and anything we can do to make that known is a good thing. We may not convert anybody or convince anyone to go to church, but we do know that they will have received a token of God's love through a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day.
Maybe a seed will be planted. Maybe someone will spend the rest of the day thinking about God. Maybe someone will dump out the hot chocolate. Maybe someone will have a great conversation.
Whatever happens, we are joining God on a mission to impact people and give them hope.
This time, it will be through hot chocolate.
Next time, it may be through you letting your neighbor know you are a Christian.
